Manual for Procurement of Consultancy & Other Services

The Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India has issued the Manual for Procurement of Consultancy & Other Services (updated June, 2022) wherein they have dropped “audits” from the description of assignments of standard or routine nature under Para 3.8 thereof titled, “Price based System - Least Cost Selection (LCS). Thus, Least Cost Selection i.e. L-1 is no longer considered suitable for engaging auditors.
